How long should Nessus take to do a full scan?

Hi there

I'm finding that Nessus-2.2.4 (and previous) on a P-IV takes 30-50 minutes to do a full scan a single LAN-connected Windows host - including local Admin access to access the Registry/etc.

Scanning a Linux box with root/password takes a similar amount of time.

There are a lot of tests, but I have set max_checks=15 on both client and server, so several should be running simultaneously.

Does that sound about right, and if not, any ideas as to what I have set up incorrectly that could be slowing things down? Nessus certainly looks busy while it's running (i.e. top shows nessus processes taking the majority of resources)
