Make sure you have libopensslxxxxx-devel installed -----Original Message----- From: nessus-bounces@list.nessus.org [mailto:nessus-bounces@list.nessus.org]On Behalf Of Brearley, Kyle Sent: Friday, February 25, 2005 1:31 PM To: nessus@list.nessus.org Subject: Installation Help Hello!! Long time no speak! I don't think I've sent an email to this list since the last time I tried to install 2.0.12 on a Suse Linux system! Time flies! I've come to seek your help again. My UNIX impaired brain can't seem to figure out my latest problem, installing the new Nessus version 2.2.3 on the same Suse Linux system!! Did searches on the net and on the nessus.org web page, with no results. If anyone can shed some light on my installation error (see below), I would be most appreciative. According to my YAST console on Suse, OpenSSL is enabled on the system, the certificate it's using wasn't issue from a real CA, just the local host. Is this error related to the old 'mk-cert' command you had to do in the older versions? Let me know if you want to see the compilation log. Thanks in advance!!! --------- Nessus installation : Ready to install -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nessus is now ready to be installed on this host. The installation process will first compile it then install it Press ENTER to continue x - Compiling the libraries x -- Configuring the sources for your system configure: error: Could not find OpenSSL and OpenSSL headers on your system **** An error occured :/ Do you want to save the compilation log to analyze what went wrong ?
