Hi everybody,

 

 

I'm using Nessus 2.2.2 with Hydra 4.6 and Nmap 3.55 under Mandrake 10.1. I got some questions concerning the Preferences of the tool.

 

In fact, I dont know what i have to write in it. For example, "Login configurations" or "SMTP settings". So i didnt put anything, i enabled all plugins but dangerous, i ran my tests over my network and i got some results but nothing concerning Brute force attacks for example.

 

So i've checked the nessusd-messages and i've seen some weird messages. Here are the first ones:

[Mon Feb 21 17:33:52 2005][7046] 'hydra_sapr3.nasl' depends on 'amap.nasl' which could not be found

[Mon Feb 21 17:33:52 2005][7046] 'hydra_ldap.nasl' depends on 'amap.nasl' which could not be found

 

whereas 'amap.nasl' is included in the plugins file

 

then, i've lots of messages like this:

[Mon Feb 21 17:35:13 2005][8610] user florian : Not launching irix_copilot.nasl against 192.168.0.2 none of the required tcp ports are open (this is not an error)

[Mon Feb 21 17:35:13 2005][8610] user florian : Not launching rpc_showfhd.nasl against 192.168.0.2 because the key rpc/portmap is missing (this is not an error)

[Mon Feb 21 17:35:29 2005][8610] user florian : Not launching CSCea77143.nasl against 192.168.0.2 because the key SNMP/community is missing (this is not an error)

[Mon Feb 21 17:35:35 2005][8610] user florian : Not launching bind_dnsstorm.nasl against 192.168.0.2 because the key bind/version is missing (this is not an error)

 

Does somebody know the problem?
