Tenable license discussion

Subject: Tenable license discussion

Renaud, Ron (and the list),

Thank you for your clarifications and input on the
questions/suggestions Robert brought up. One thing
that neither of you covered however was something I
wanted some response on. In regards to the license
status of the plugins which pre-date the Jan. 1
change, I also assumed that those plugins were GPL'd
and I'm probably not alone in that assumption among
the user community. I think that Robert's suggestion
that plugins which pre-exist the license change
remaining GPL'd ("Any new policy should not affect
history")is a good one. How feasible is this from
Tenable's standpoint?

From a user standpoint it minimizes any confusion on
the status of each plugin if Tenable's license is
modified further in the future. As it stands at this
point in time I haven't the slightest idea where to
look to determine the licensing status of a plugin,
pre-change or not. In fact, of the existing plugins,
which ones aren *not* GPL?
