Malicious Software Removal Tool

Subject: Malicious Software Removal Tool
Date: Tue, 12 Apr 2005 16:54:30 +0100
Hi all, as promised by MS, the famous tool has been updated today
The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool helps remove specific,
prevalent malicious software from computers that are running Windows Server
2003, Windows XP, or Windows 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/890830/en-us.
It's very useful when merged with another tool from http://www.sysinternals.com
"psexec.exe". From a directory where psexec and this MS Tools are saved, we can
execute or scan any remote host/subnet with this command joined surely with
network domain admin credential : "c:\tools\psexec \\remoteHost -c anyTool.exe
or replace the host with some liste of hosts(see psexec options in help psexec
/?).
Thanx.

NTBugtraq Editor's Note:

Most viruses these days use spoofed email addresses. As such, using an
Anti-Virus product which automatically notifies the perceived sender of a
message it believes is infected may well cause more harm than good. Someone who
did not actually send you a virus may receive the notification and scramble
their support staff to find an infection which never existed in the first
place. Suggest such notifications be disabled by whomever is responsible for
your AV, or at least that the idea is considered.
