the new MS anti-spyware tool can keep a sentry lookout on your browser settings, which is a part of the puzzle. i don't know if other spyware tools do this, too, but two others i use (spybot search and destroy and ad-aware) don't seem to, at least in the versions i've been using for the past 6 mos. hope this helps, ________ jose nazario, ph.d. jose@monkey.org http://monkey.org/~jose/ http://infosecdaily.net/
