Yes, I have tried 16 character pre-share keys as well as longer.

Are you using 16 character pre-share keys?

I have two M appliances that I have configured VPN access. The
configuration
is exactly the same on both appliances with the exception of the
external ip
address and pre-share key.

On my XP client, I can connect to one but not to the other. So I changed
my
ip address and pre-share key on the one that was working and tried to
connect to the other appliance but it did not work.

After putting the ip address and pre-share back into the client, I now
can't
connect to the one I was connecting too. Does the M appliance keep a
list
and restrict the ip address of a client when it doesn't connect?

Thank You,
Randy Haley
