-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Proventia Web Filter will block any URL associated with messengers services but it will not block msn messenger or yahoo messenger at 100%, that? because PWF only works fot http, and receives traffic trough a proxy, ie. squid. if yo need to block tha apps, yo will do in MUCH better with Proventia IDPs. For Websense VS PWF there is a lot of difference, as I told you PWF works for http only, in the other hand Websense Security Suite Works for http and for a variaty of protocols using a component called Network Agent. As I know PWF has a bigger DB than websense has. But the admin for Websense is much more detailed than PWF. Julio Quirós wrote:
Does anyone know if Proventia Web Filter can block Messengers? Also if we can put time restrains to the time of connection for each user? Does anyone knows about comparisons between Websense and Web Filter? _______________________________________________ ISSForum mailing list ISSForum@iss.net TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, go to https://atla-mm1.iss.net/mailman/listinfo/issforum To contact the ISSForum Moderator, send email to mod-issforum@iss.net The ISSForum mailing list is hosted and managed by Internet Security Systems, 6303 Barfield Road, Atlanta, Georgia, USA 30328.
