Norbert, that is a good question.
Knowledgebase Article 2644
(https://iss.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/iss.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqi d=2644) I wouldn't trust much from that article as being current -- it says that SP2 will soon be out for IS 7, but it has been out for a year+.
http://www.iss.net/products_services/enterprise_protection/vulnerability _assessment/is_requirements.php That link just sends me on to http://www.iss.net/main/index.html so I was unable to see what you were referring to there.
maybe XPU 7.2.26 did have this undocumented change to support Windows
Server 2003 with SP1. I really really really doubt it. In everything I've ever heard from ISS, they say that Server 2003 SP1 is not supported.
Microsoft will end the support for Windows XP SP1 on October 10th
I would love to hear some official word from ISS in response to that ~Jonny Sweeny, Senior Security Engineer, GSEC, GCWN, SSP-CNSA Office of the VP for Information Technology, Indiana University PGP key & S/MIME cert: https://itso.iu.edu/Jonny_Sweeny _______________________________________________ ISSForum mailing list ISSForum@iss.net TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, go to https://atla-mm1.iss.net/mailman/listinfo/issforum To contact the ISSForum Moderator, send email to mod-issforum@iss.net The ISSForum mailing list is hosted and managed by Internet Security Systems, 6303 Barfield Road, Atlanta, Georgia, USA 30328.
