The Proventia G fully supports 802.1q traffic. No special configuration
is necessary in most cases. However, if you are using the Proventia G in
passive mode and feeding kill packets back into your network via a kill
port, you may need to tune the sensor somewhat to produce kill packets
that are compatible with your network equipment and the point at which
you feed those packets back into your network.

Hi All,

Do you know if Proventia G support 802.1q standard?
I mean, if I connect the G to a trunk port, does it will capable to
decapsulate the VLAN tagging, analyze the packet, and encapsulate it
again? Do I have to configure something special to the Proventia?

Thanks a lot
