Hi Marco, Yes, it does support 802.1Q and don't need to do nothing special about it. In releases previous to release 1.1 you only can see the VLAN Info (Tag) if you choose the column on SiteProtector's console, but from release 1.1 you also could create several different protection domains (sets of detection rules) based on the VLAN tags. I think it doesn't need to decapsulate and encapsulate the packet, to read the tag would be enough. Hi All, Do you know if Proventia G support 802.1q standard? I mean, if I connect the G to a trunk port, does it will capable to decapsulate the VLAN tagging, analyze the packet, and encapsulate it again? Do I have to configure something special to the Proventia? Thanks a lot _______________________________________________ ISSForum mailing list ISSForum@iss.net TO UNSUBSCRIBE OR CHANGE YOUR SUBSCRIPTION, go to https://atla-mm1.iss.net/mailman/listinfo/issforum To contact the ISSForum Moderator, send email to mod-issforum@iss.net The ISSForum mailing list is hosted and managed by Internet Security Systems, 6303 Barfield Road, Atlanta, Georgia, USA 30328.
