Dear all, Is there anyway to deliver a notification to a recipient when an infected mail is sent to the recipient and deleted by Proventia M appliance? Currently Proventia M doesn't provide any sufficient information to know deleted messages. Does anyone know how to address this issue? Thank you, Tetsuo From: "Bojidar Tzendov" <Bojidar_Tzendov@mtel.net> Subject: [ISSForum] M Series Antivirus special features Date: Thu, 11 Mar 2004 18:45:42 +0200 Message-ID: <008901c40788$4b4f9570$0601a8c0@agitest.bg>
Dear All, I have some questions regarding M Series Appliance Antivirus Module for SMTP scanning: Let's assume that an e-mail with infected attachment has been found. 1. What will the engine delete/remove: the attachment only (and the user gets only the message body) or the entire message and attachment? Is it possible to configure this behavior? 2. Does the recipient of the message get any notification that there is an infected message sent to him? Is it possible to disable this notification? 3. Does the sender get any notification that there is a virus in the message sent by him? Is it possible to disable this notification? 4. Is there a convenient way to browse the logs for infected messages and to find detailed information for the recipient and the sender of an infected message? Thanks in advance Bojidar
