[ISSForum] M10 Firewall bypass issue

Subject: [ISSForum] M10 Firewall bypass issue
Date: Mon, 23 Jan 2006 09:14:14 -0600
I was attempting to allow "all" external traffic to "all" internal
traffic and the firewall on the M was still blocking it. Upon
investigation I discovered that if I added an "all" to "self" rule, in
addition to the "all" to "all" rule then traffic flows freely. I've
since locked things back down, however this is something I am quite
curious about and would love to know if this is "broken as intended" and
/ of if anyone else has had this same experience with Ms or any other
appliance for that matter?

Thanks!

William Collums
