All,
Just a reminder that Database Scanner has started it's End of Life
process. End of Sale and migration was announced on 1/31/05 and End of
Content is effective 1/31/06. As Database Scanner customer come up for
renewal, they should start the process of migrating their application to
Application Security, Inc. for their AppDetective product at a
pre-negotiated rate. Details can be found on the ISS.net site at:

Marco, it's not a normal occurrence, but I have seen it occur with
large scans. The DBS database is only capable of 2 gigs of data, and
the closer you get to that, the more sluggish the performance you'll
see. Even if you purge it, a large scan can still fill a database. If
you are performing a large scan, you might want to try splitting the
scan up into smaller scans.

Subject: [ISSForum] Low Performance in Database Scanner
Hi List,
I installed DB Scanner some months ago and everything was working fine,
however along the time the performace in reporting has become so poor.
We have purged and compacted the DB of the product but the behaviour is
the same. Does anybody now how to deal with this? Is this normal?
Any suggestion is wellcome
Thanks a lot!
