[ISSForum] Failed to open control channel to the sensor

Subject: [ISSForum] Failed to open control channel to the sensor
Date: Tue, 20 Dec 2005 10:01:44 -0500
Hi All,

This is the description of the problem;

Using SiteProtector 2.0 (SP5.2), ServerSensor agents installed on Solaris 8.0
servers.

The status for all servers is Active, I can register/unregister the agents on
the SP console.

I can also assign a different EC to the agents and Events are showing up. The
Last Contact

under the Sensor Tab is only a couple of minutes old at most.

I cannot perform any actions (Stop-Start-Apply XPU-Apply Policy,...) on the
server sensors.

The error message is always the same; Failed to open control channel to the
sensor, cannot

perform any actions on it. I doubled the timeout to open the control channel,
but that did not help.

Anyone run into this before?

Thank you,

Jean Levert
