Daniel,

Manually deleting event data is very tricky, as parts of the data are
linked from several different tables, so I wouldn't recommend it, as you
could end up orphaning records that would never be purged in the future.
There are purge functions that may be able to do what you are looking
for more automatically, such as marking the events you don't want as
'cleared' and then purging all cleared events, or manually changing the
date stamp on the events to some very old date, like 1/1/1989 and then
purging anything older than 1990.

Subject: [ISSForum] Deleting specific events from Realsecure
SP Database
Importance: High

Hi,

can someone tell me how to delete specific event from
Realsecure SiteProtector Database (I have installed RSSP 2.0
SP5). As our database is about 18 GB I need to delete some of
our events in a specific time slot - but not all of them. The
problem is that I do not know which tables I have to look at
and how they depend on each other, so I would be pleased if I
could get some infos.

Thanks for help
Daniel
