Michael, The reason the SiteProtector console won't work for non-Administrative users is the non-Administrative users do not have permission to the directories and registry keys that the console requires. KBA #2893 explains how to set up the proper permissions on the ISS directory for a non-Administrator user: http://iss.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/iss.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2893 You may also find that you need to give your non-Administrative user permissions to the ISS registry hive and subkeys (if you get an error when you start it that a certain registry key could not be found). Does anyone know how to get around being able to run the site protector console from a workstation (windows pc) without being the local administrator of that workstation? The problem that we ran into is when a user was removed from an active directory policy that made him a local workstation admin his site protector console quit working, and as soon as I put him back into the group it started to work again.
