[ISSForum] Problems with Proventia M30 and SNMP readings

Subject: [ISSForum] Problems with Proventia M30 and SNMP readings

Hello Everyone...

We are facing a strange behavior at our Proventia M30 and I would like to
know if someone have seen this before...

We use an application called Orion NPM to monitor 3 OID's (SNMPv2/v3) at
Proventia: memory amount, CPU usage and actual ethernet traffic. We have
configured the SNMP security at proventia's web console, adjusting the
community (read) to the same that we use at Orion's query engine. When we
make a discovery, we get back all the details including the ethernet brands
and media, memory data, CPU data and disk (/root, /etc, etc) data also.

BUT, when the Orion make the second Pool, the Proventia did not answer,
generating a error at Orion's screen like Proventia's computer not
answering...

IF we take a look at proventia's web console, we can see a CPU consumption
of 98% closing to 100% !!! I mean, this make the proventia to stop to answer
anything. The only way to get the control back is doing a service-cycle
(on-off) at the SNMP service.

Anyone have a suggestion?

Please, help me to understand what is happening.
