Subject: [ISSForum] system scanner failed to generate certs continued..
Date: Tue, 29 Mar 2005 13:54:04 +0800 (CST)
Sorry forgot to mention in my previous mai lthat i have opened the SMCa file
and checked that the directory path under [ca_default] is correct!

========start previous msg==========================
Hey all !
In first starting the system scanner console 4.2.5, console should generate SSL
CA and its own certificate.
at this step, i encountered an error:

"Poll of XXX failed: failed to generate certificates: this can bbe caused by CA
path not being set correctly in ca\SMCa.cnf file. Check wether 'dir' is set to
'D:/Program Files/ISS?System Scanner Console/ca' under [ca_default] section in
ca/SMCa.cnf file. If not, edit 'dir' to point to correct directory."

The SMCa (shortcut) file is in the correct ca directory as mentioned above.
Why do i still get this error?

thanks!
rgds,
dawne
