Guy's, I have tried to install a basic configuration of Site protector version 5.1 on a windows 2003 server with all latest patches. Running SQL 2000 with all latest patches. Once the Console is installed the event collector component is set to Offline the sensor status is stopped. Starting the sensor gave me this error Start Sensor EventCollector_MYSERVER@X.X.X.X(#6 <mailto:EventCollector_MYSERVER@X.X.X.X(#6> ) failed. The error message is:The sensor is still in initialization state. Please check Event Log on the sensor machine for possible initialization problems. [ID=0xc72c0004 The issDaemon reports this Couldn't get 'engport' from engine 'EventCollector_MYSERVER', assuming '901'. and the also Engine EventCollector_MYSERVER failed to restart 3 times, force to stop now I have tried reinstalling the entire application from the ground up and still get the same errors, I have also applied all service packs and XPU's and still get the same errors. Yours in need of therapy All help greatly accepted.
