I have quite a few customers stuck as well.

The Desktop update is quirky too. I had one client have their machines
freeze completely when they pushed 7.0 enq to wireless clients.

I am actually advising my customers to hold off on 7.0enq. I am opening
some support issues with ISS. 7.0 enq was supposed to be bug fixes, but
seems to be creating problems. 7.0 enq doesn't have any new signatures,
so if you're running on 7.0eno, I'd recommend staying there for now.

I have been having a similar problem. We use the manual updater tool,
as we elected not to give our system direct access to the Internet. The
manual updater is coughing errors trying to download xpu updates that
the catalog says are there. I was able to manually download the latest
Database SP1 from the download website, put it in the correct folder,
then run the update successfully. I have an indication that there is a
SP 5.6 for the Desktop controller (I'm at 5.4), but the manual updater
tool reports an error downloading it, and I can't find it in the
download site. I had to download the server sensor xpu 22.30 manually
from the site as well. The tool has been successfully working in the
past, and is currently downloading other updates successfully.
Something seems out of sync at the update site.

One of my colleague encounterred the same problem. Finally, he was able
to perfrom the upadte to XPU 22.29.

1. HE rebooted the machine
2. Restarted all services
3. Then he performed the XPU updates one by one. That is, we had to
update XPUs 22.28 and 22.29. He updated XPU 22.28 and then updated XPU
22.29 instead of performing the updates at once.

You can try the above steps to see if it works. XPU 22.30 has already
been released FYI.
