Since there seems to be a great deal of misinformation and paranoia regarding ECHELON and the NSA, I'd like to remind everyone that, besides as Leif mentioned it being old news, there is also a great deal of information about it available. John Young over at Cryptome.org does a great job of accumulating such information.
