Hello dong-hun:

Trying to understand one another; and living with our differences and 
similarities can prevent future atrocities better than demands for 
apologies.

Here in the US we are able to protest many things loudly. Yet many times 
if the requests of the population were indeed met, it would not 
necessarily create sustainable change for the future. Frequently we also 
find that those few in power (who encourage our protests) do it mainly 
for self-gain or to placate the masses; not to help The People.

Many western countries also try to forget past atrocities when it comes 
to teaching their children about national history. In the US, this can 
be seen with the absence of key aspects of Native American history and 
even with events surrounding Japanese American treatment during WWII.

If it is also customary for other Asian Countries to censor history from 
their population; then your best move is to start your reform at home 
then reach abroad.
