This is not to say that all of the slack packages are updated, or secure of course. Just nothing has been released recently. :)
Slack is mainly a one-man-show these days. As it seems that Pat's been pretty sick recently, the distro has slowed down on patch releases a lot.


I have always read other distro's announcements and then rebuilt the affected apps on slack from source if there was to "official" patch.
But recently I've been moving mission critical servers to more "active" distros to better follow security fixes on stock packages
