[Full-Disclosure] unexplained crashes of named

Subject: [Full-Disclosure] unexplained crashes of named

Hello,

I'm experiencing recently strange crashes of named 8.3.7 (shipped with FreeBSD 4.9). It never happened before, but since last saturday, it occured five times. Named suddenly stops responding to all queries and starts growing until it exhausts all RAM and swap space.

Has anyone seen this before? It'll be hard to capture specific packets causing this, because my nameserver processes 2000+ queries/s.

Thanks.
