You may find this one amusing

Each time I post to the list I receive a message from Microsoft about
why I shouldn't send email to one of their addresses

My email account has no auto replies.

Someone has subscribed YOUR email account to a mailing list

I only receive auto-replies when I post to the OpenCV mailing list

I have never contacted the MSDN account before

If you bothered to read the attached message header you would notice
that the message originated from YOUR system, NOT MINE

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us at MSDN regarding the auto-mails you are
receiving from MSDN.

Can you please check to see if you email account is set up to send an
auto reply to every message you are getting?

MSDN Contact us sends a response to all mail it gets that is not from
customers with an active log number. Your autoresponse is being
treated
as spam since it does not have a legitimate log number. What is
happening is that your system is then sending an auto reply to MSDN
Contact us, it is treated as spam, and the whole cycle repeats itself.

To break this cycle you will need to perform one task, and review your
existing email processing strategy...

1) Please turn off your auto response rule in your email system for 15
minutes. This will break the cycle and stop the loop. If this does not
stop it, please extend the "off" time to a half hour. That should do
the
trick.

2) Please also rethink your need to have an auto response sent to all
mail you get. This broadband generation of responses adds to email
traffic, and specifically, as you have just witnessed, exposes you to
response induced email loops that can quickly flood your inbox. If you
want to send auto replies, consider building conditional mail box
email
rules instead. This way your mail client will (depending on what you
are
using) only send a reply when certain conditions you preset are met.

Thanks!
