Dave - I think that's the $50,000 question right now. In my experience, yes, many AV products (i.e. Symantec, Trend, McAfee) are now also detecting at least some spyware/adware. At the same time, no one A/V vendor currently has the entire range of spyware covered. And, in fact, no one anti-spyware product currently has the entire range of spyware covered. In regards to spyware, we're still in the "Wild West". I wouldn't attempt to rely on a "one product does all" solution just yet. -----Original Message----- From: Dave [mailto:wintermutecx@gmail.com] Sent: Thursday, May 05, 2005 10:00 AM To: focus-virus@securityfocus.com Subject: AV that supoprts spy/adware Anyone have a list of AV that detects spyware? We are currently using eTrust with spybot and the MS beta antispyware. I'd like to get something that's integrated. Thanks.
