Hi Cissper-

A lot of things depend on your environment. McAfee ePO can tell you some
information about McAfee (obviously) and Symantec products. If you are in a
Windows environment, you can do some logon scripting that uses IF statements
such as:

IF EXIST "C:\Program Files\Symantec\..." echo %COMPUTERNAME% - Symantec AV
\\some\file\on\a\share. You can do this for most of the common vendors
products pretty simply. As for the signature versions, you would probably
need to check a Registry value, but the same principle holds.

Subject: identify anti virus software and signature version

Hi virus folks

I am currently looking for a product which can help my organisation to
identify:

1) which anti virus software is installed

2) version of the anti virus signature file

Does anyone know a product which provides that functionality?

regards

Cissper
