Boing!

You could look for a tool called 'KeyFinderThing' - think it's .NET
based, but can retrieve the key for Windows and some other products. I
have used it in a very similar scenario (license key sticker had been
scratched too much).

Time for bed,
Zebedee.

Hello all:

I have a WinXP box that needs a re-install. I lost the license key (but
it is a totally legitimate installed copy).

I go into Windows Explorer and click Help/About, but that does not
display the key.

How can I go about displaying this key so I can do a virgin re-install?

Thanks.
