I have actually spent 2 days at a conference this week and Websense were there giving seminars and they didn't mention a fix during the whole time, I'm sure they would have mentioned it to a whole room of security professionals in order for them to sell their product ?? -----Original Message----- From: Matt.Carpenter@alticor.com [mailto:Matt.Carpenter@alticor.com] Sent: 31 March 2006 22:53 To: peter.vander.elst@biac.be Cc: focus-ms@securityfocus.com; Murad Talukdar Subject: RE: New IE flaw and exploit sites/migration to non-MS browser "Peter Vander Elst" <peter.vander.elst@biac.be> wrote on 03/31/2006 09:25:34 AM:
Websense or other URL-filtering tools can reduce 90% of these malicious websites. Regards, Peter Vander Elst
Hi Peter, Could you please qualify this? Has Websense actually stated that in this case? I know they have helped out with spyware-providing sites and such, but I had not heard that they are actively tracking and providing filtering for sites specifically with this vulnerability in mind.
