Subject: How to disable interactive logon for service
accounts on W2K and W2K3

Hi All,

I was wondering does any one know of any setting to disable
interactive logon for service accounts on W2K and W2K3.

Any light in this direction would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Saj

On a domain you can set it up using Group Policy. I've done this using
OUs (organizational units and setting up a Service Accounts group with
all the service accounts in it. Be warned that there are cases where
interactive logon is needed to set up a mail account. An example of this
is SQL Server 2000: you have to log in with the SQLServerAgent account
and create a mail profile if you want to get emails from it.
