Re: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1

My situation is a bit different than what I've read so far.

I had an older system that I thought I'd try to install Server 2003 on. I formated the drive and installed server 2003 with no problem at all. It ran great. When I installed 2003 SP1 the system would boot but just hang with a blank desk top and the hard drive developed the hiccups. I could hear it accessing at regular intervals but it would not proceed. A 3 finger salute and process viewer was useless. The drive hicupped even in safe mode.

Anybody have any clue as to what is going on or how to "force" the system to finish booting?

Toby
