Does anyone know of a MS product (free or pay) that would go out based on a defined subnet and perform software inventory on client machines?
Depending on your environment SMS maybe overkill or too much $$$. You may want to look into 'Track-IT' from Intuit (was owned by: Blue Ocean Software). It's been many years since I've used it (more like forced to.. ;-), but it does a nice job for small to mid-size environments. http://itsolutions.intuit.com/products.asp --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
