Symantec Corporate 9.0.1.1000 is recognized by WSC. This was a slightly revised version then was was shipped originally udner v9.0. Symantec made this update after SP2 was released so it was recognized by WSC. They are most likely on a slightly newer build as well. If you have Symantec Corporate/Enterprise edition support you can contact Symantec for a download of the newest version. -----Original Message----- From: Bob Jones [mailto:lists@pavlodarproductions.com] Sent: Saturday, November 13, 2004 2:01 AM To: fIrestOrm Cc: focus-ms@securityfocus.com Subject: Re: Supported products in Windows Security Center (WSC) I can't provide a full list, but I know that McAfee 8 Enterprise *is* recognized by WSC whereas McAfee ASaP is *not* recognized. Both of these antivirus apps are easier on the CPU and memory usage than McAfee Professional and Norton and provide a higher default level of paranoia. Symantec's Corporate AV is also recognized and easy on resources. HTH Bob J. fIrestOrm wrote:
Hi list, I would just like to find out if there is a list of products that are recognised as Antivirus software and Firewalls inside WSC. For example, Norton AV is recognised but Sygate is not. I can't seem to find any information regarding this in microsoft.com. If any of you has any info, please send them over. Thanks a lot!
