Can anyone recommend any tools which will allow me scan for spywear on windows drives/partitions/shares etc? What I'm thinking of is having a linux live cd which I can boot then use clam-av to scan for viruses and some other app which will scan for spywear.
The German computer journal ct' is offering a system called 'Knoppicillin' from time to time: http://www.heise.de/security/news/meldung/51213 I never used it, but I suppose it's what you are looking for. It is based on knoppix and apart from clamav include some non:(-free code. That is why they do not offer a download image. They offer some kind of ordering special editions from the archive and probably the CD (or DVD) is included if you order the old edtion 20/04. However, is will likely be DE localized.
