In some case (with SMBspy, you can obtain a data file, which contain a
PCL format file, but impossible to use it.

First off, that's all that the PC is going to send to the printer, unless you
have a laser printer that's only configured to accept PostScript, and it's
better than the proprietary binary formats used by a lot of low-end ink jets.

Now then, I wouldn't say it's impossible to use it. I would imagine that
there have got to be tools to display PCL. Even barring that, you can still
send it directly to the printer; for instance, on Linux, I would create a new
print spool that sent whatever it received directly to the printer, without
any intermediate filtering. Alternatively, if you have the printer plugged
into the parallel port on the Linux box, you could just `cat file.pcl >
/dev/lpt0` or the like.

Hope this helps,
Terry
