Typically we use customized tools like those found at remote-exploit.org and throw in a number of layer 7 based attacks. Ixia IxLoad has some decent tools, as does Spirent with their ThreatEx and Karalon.com with it's software based approach. MuSecurity.com also has some tools. They are new to the market and the CEO came from Juniper - ex IDP guy. Otherwise you'll have to go with Pcap replays, but then where do you get the replays.
