Evasion Techniques still in use?

Subject: Evasion Techniques still in use?
Date: 18 Jan 2006 17:59:45 -0000
Hi there,

After a long searching thru the web I couldn't find news about evasion
thecniques to pass thru IDS/IPS systems. What lasts was Dan Kaminsky
presentation at BlackHat 2005, where he presents some temporal IP attacks.

The paper from Ptacek and Newsham (Insertion, Evasion, and Denial of Service:
Eluding Network Intrusion Detection) shown many techniques that was widely used
for many.
But, for now? Are those techniques still in use?
Does anyone has some paper about it?

Tks!
