-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Tripwire works for me on Sun Sparc Solaris 9. I can't remember which tripwire version is installed on my system. You can also try aide, which is a tripwire replacement. Available for Solaris 8. http://www.sunfreeware.com/ Dom. - -----Original Message----- From: John Meyers [mailto:john.meyers@wright.edu] Sent: Monday, February 21, 2005 2:46 PM To: Jason Czerak Cc: focus-ids@lists.securityfocus.com Subject: Re: Tripwire for Solaris 8 Jason Czerak wrote:
According to tripwire.org, tripwire is only going to nicely compile for Linux or FreeBSD. Tho, I'm looking at a binary that the previous admin must of compiled somehow for Solaris: # /usr/local/sbin/tripwire tripwire: File integrity assessment application. Tripwire(R) 2.3.1.2 built for sparc-sun-solaris2.8 Are there makefiles for this around? I can't seem to Google anything useful. I'm 99% positive this binary _wasn't_ purchased. (as in compiled). Or am I dead wrong here? -- Jason Czerak
As far as I know, the last free release for Solaris was the 1.3.1 academic release. The 2.x stuff was commercial except for some early Linux releases.
