According to tripwire.org, tripwire is only going to nicely compile for Linux or FreeBSD. Tho, I'm looking at a binary that the previous admin must of compiled somehow for Solaris:
# /usr/local/sbin/tripwire
tripwire: File integrity assessment application.
Tripwire(R) 2.3.1.2 built for sparc-sun-solaris2.8
Are there makefiles for this around? I can't seem to Google anything useful.
I'm 99% positive this binary _wasn't_ purchased. (as in compiled).
Or am I dead wrong here?

As far as I know, the last free release for Solaris was the 1.3.1 academic release. The 2.x stuff was commercial except for some early Linux releases.
