HI All, I am looking at literature which talks about how to approach the testing of a Host baed IPS system ( signature based). I would like to know the test methodologies, test infrastructure and tools that i can leverage to test and Host based IPS system. I would like to know the experiences of some of you on the mailing list here as to how can i reduce the number of false positive, and what targets/goals should i keep in mind while doing performance testing. I am very hopeful that i can bank on the experiences of the experienced security professionals on this list, Thanks a lot, Shank -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Test Your IDS Is your IDS deployed correctly?
