firewall newbie : how to start (create) a policy

Subject: firewall newbie : how to start (create) a policy
Date: Tue, 27 Jun 2006 08:28:44 +0200
Hi,

I'm a total newbie in firewalls, but want to learn about them and ordered a
Safe@home 500W
(sofaware, now Checkpoint).
I want to write my own policy for this firewall, but I'm not sure how to
start, what not to
forget, what not to do, ... .
Does any one of you know whitch book is a perfect (if possible?) guideline?
Or does someone have
a pdf-file that describes "how to..."?

  Thanks in advance!

Paul
