The internal admin ip address is eth0 = 10.1.1.254, foo.mydomain.fam  which
is non routable, the external eth1 is routable but that's what the firewall
is for.

 

The internal address could be dchp assigned in the 10.1.1.1 subnet.

What I meant was, does it not make it easier for the hacker?
If fqdn is not assign, it takes the hacker longer to hack.
