Hi all,
anyone has used or tested the utm appliances of zyxel?
I'm searching for somethig that does:
-Antivirus
-QoS
-DMZ
-IDS-IDP

I did a performance test with those features enabled (except qos) on a z70utm, and the performance dropped to 11 mb/s. i used iperf to messure the throughput.

I found the juniper netscreen 5GT extended, Netasq F50 and Zyxel
Zywall5.
All meet my requeriments, the only superior in capability of conections
and capacity is Netasq F50.
Zywall5 and netscreen have the same capability, but the zywall is less
than a half of the price of netscreen.

I can't reccomend Zywall, in my experience they still have problems with the configuration rom file when upgrading the firmware. Sometime you have to restore to factory settings.

I know that netscreen is a very good firewall, I used it before.
But it's quite expensive.
So I want to know if I can rely on a zyxel.
Thanks in advance

with kind regards.
Svend
