Again: You FIRST need the man - the system choice will follow automatically.
I'm not sure this is the best approach. I would opt to bring in an independent consultant or consulting firm not beholden to any one firewall vendor, and work with them to choose the best product to fit *your* requirements, not just the product your "firewall guy" happens to have experience with.
