It works fairly well, but doesn't have centralized management features :-( It also has a few issues that many of the other suites seem to have resolved a long time ago. My personal biggest beef with the latest version of the forticlient is if you enable email worm detection, it continually pops up false positive errors when sending email from outlook 2003 (and possibly other mail clients), also if you need to manually add a range of ports you want to allow through the firewall, you're screwed. Recently did a VoIP deployment using the OneConnect (Nortel gear) service out of Toronto and during testing needed to open udp ports 40000-60000 in the Forticlient. Spoke with Fortinet tech support and was told I'd have to manually enter each port, that's almost laughable if it wasn't so serious. -- Harondel J.
