We upgraded some time ago; I had similar questions. Do a little
research on the cisco website- there is good documentation regarding the
upgrade from 6.x to 7.02.
Our rulebase is relatively simple, so most of the commands went in
without a hitch. As far as stability and failover- have yet to see any
issues.
