Hi All,

Is it at all possible to connect a Linux client (not a branch office),
using shared secret to a CheckPoint VPN-1?

Of course, it can be done ;)

I've tried googling for the info with everything pointing to FreeS/WAN.
Eventually I found a document by CheckPoint; âLinux as a VPN client to
FireWall-1â (v4.1.102, Oct 10, 2002), again using FreeS/WAN. This
document is almost as cryptic as the encryption it uses ;) Further more
development of FreeS/WAN has been discontinued at least a year and to
top it all off the site would time out when I attempted to access
documentation.

Any ideas, tips or documentation on the subject would be greatly
appreciated (more details, the better).

Take a look at

was very usefull to me

or look at the general google answer, too
