The proxy should be in you lan otherwise people from outside would be able
to "see" the server. You only allow the proxy server to http,https and ftp
traffic. So nobody from you lan would be able to use internet unless they
put the right configuration of the proxy. Think that anything in your DMZ it
can be seen from outside.

stations communicates with the InterNet through proxy. which the ideal
topology to install pix?
