I have close to 6 Gb of logs gathered from 28 enforcement modules per day. The trick is that the Reporter server is running on a dedicated system, while the log servers and the management server are independent. To make the server's life easier, I have installed it on a Secure Platform system (if you are a CheckPoint customer, there is no license fee for it), and I also moved my log servers and management servers to Secure Platform. Also make sure that the network connectivity between the reporter and the log server(s) is reliable. My company is trying to get the Check Point Reporting module to work, but until now we had have some problems regarding the amount of logs, about 1GB per day. We have don a lot of testing and it seem this software will not work with this rate of logs, so my question is: What reporting software could work with about 1GB of logs per day? any recommendation regarding a real experience? Thanks in advance Regards from Chile
